    Email Lead Info

    Is it possible for me to be able to create, or if there already is, an action or button to pull the lead information into an email or even better make an email template  that I can then send to share that information? Almost like outlook does with sharing the contact info in a business card format or something with similar information?

    Hi Matt,

    Unfortunately, there is no button that will pull lead information into an email.
    If you are sending the lead information internally, what you could do is set up an activity and then assign it to an employee within your company. Then the employee will see the contact information.

    However, if want to send your leads off to someone else, you would need to customize a screen for that. There is a Send Email action within the Help Center that allows you to send email. You would also need to use Merge Fields (Help Center Entry) if you wish to use a template and have appropriate info be automatically included.

    If you want examples, the Activity Follow Up Notification sends internal users the contact info so this would be a really good template to analyze the merge fields. You can also reverse engineer the actions in the Send & Email button on the New Activity screen, particularly the Character Function actions.

    Just a quick question, I am assuming you are trying to send this info to someone outside of your organization, is this true? What are the scenarios where you would need to do this?

    Yes we would be sending the information to our fabricator so once they have finalized the product they can be in contact with the customer.

    Hello Matt123,

    If your fabricator is someone you will regularly send information to, are they already in your Quickbooks system as a vendor or another entity? If so, what you could do is create another user in Method CRM, but not a user that is able to log in. You can then attach a Quickbooks Entity (vendor/employee/other) to that user and assign activities to that user.

    When you assign an activity to the user, they will get an email with the contact information. Within that you can attach notes and comments.

    In fact, if you wish to pay for another license, then the fabricator can log in and get more detail and information about the contact you are sending them.

    By setting up a new user that cannot sign in, am I paying for a new user still? Also, I am doing a dummy one to test it out now, when it asks if the login is Active do I say it is even though the user will not be able to sign in?

    Hi Matt,

    No, you will not need to pay for another user if you make sure the user cannot sign in. The login will need to be Active though!



    Remember, in regards to users, you will be charged for another user if the amount of licenses increases in the My Account section.
