Clicking on the email address field in Method using Outlook Plug-in

We're seriously looking at the Outlook plug-in but before we install there's a question we can't find an answer in your very detailed support information. Without the Outlook plug-in installed, when I click on a contacts email address to send an email this will open a new Outlook email window to compose and send the email. This is a quick and easy way to send a contact an email however the email is not saved as an activity in Method. To record the email as an activity, as you know, we must compose and send the email within the Method send an email function. With the Outlook plu-in installed if we do the same thing will Method save and record the email as an activity?

    Isdrury,

Yes, when your compose window in Outlook opens up, you will see a new option in your Outlook tool bar to send an activity to Method. This button, called Send, will send your email and allow you to edit the details of your new Method activity, all from Outlook. Hope this helps!

Yes Jason, that's the answer we were looking to hear. Friday afternoon I attempted to load the Outlook plug-in eager to get started. However everytime I started the process the install would stop unable to load the certificate. I'm using Win 7, I disabled the firewall. rebooted several times all with the same result. The installer starts opens a DOS window to verify the certificate and because it can't the process stops. Can you help me please?

    Thanks

    PS

Jason, I figured out how to install the Outlook Plug-in. I went to the Method folder under Programs86 and clicked directly on the setup file. It ran and installed the plug-in. Unfortunately I did this the first time with Outlook closed. I opened Outlook and ran Setup again and Voila! it installed. And it's working as promised. Very pleased. Thanks
