    Build Assemblies - Multi Levels

It was suggested I try Method to help with my issue with Build Assemblies.  Our Assembly Builds have several levels - usually 4 or 5.  Due to recent economy, we do not stock many components, so, in essence, once we get an order, we build everything (all levels) from scratch, so I am looking for a way that when I open up a build assembly screen and build all levels that are needed to fulfill the main product build.  Do you really think Method can help me with that?  I am overwhelmed by the thought of how it would work.

    Hi Della,

I am going to need to spend a bit of time on this. I will update this thread when I have more info.

    Answer

    Hi Della,

I think what you are looking to do is possible.

What can do in Method is when building an assembly, use actions to loop through each of the items in the assembly and if in that assembly there is a subassembly have Method create another build for that assembly. I created a sample screen to test this and it looks like it should work fine, though it can tricky depending if there are assemblies within assemblies within assemblies etc...
