Just a quick update - the New Lead screen has 2 sections for buttons, one is displayed when the page is a popup and another set that is displayed if the page is not a popup. It's possible that the show section action is not getting called here - are you on a custom new lead screen by chance?

It's hard to track down something like this and I would assume this is a browser caching problem before Method since it happens very seldom. If you can reproduce the steps for us then we can submit a ticket to the dev team, otherwise it could just be a caching problem with the browser. If you're keeping the browser window open for long stretches at a time try to remember to close and restart the browser once in awhile. Worst case a refresh will correct any caching problems in future.

this is the second time this has happened to me ... it's very seldom but still anoying when it does happen, the buttons to save and whatnot are just missing at times, then you have to hit refresh on the entire browser page thus loosing all your info and having to re-enter again
