Yes that was helpful. Thank you.

I took another look at the part of my question where the notes field was not saving. I'm not sure why but it is saving today, so either something strange worked itself out or user-error was involved.

Thanks again, your guys' / gals' help is always appreciated =)

I definitely enjoy working with this software and the method team ... most of the time ;-p

Thanks,

You’ll notice this screen is built off the Activity table whereas the grid is built from the ActivityJobItems table. In step 1 of the grid wizard you will see that the grid was designed to be Attached ‘I want to choose a Table that is linked to the Screen's Table.’

Please see a previous response for more information on grid types.

In this case the attached grid will by default display filtered information based on the current screens active record which are the “children” of that record. This would explain why you don’t see a custom filter being applied but still see specific information.

Hope that helps,
Val

Customizing Field Service Center.

Hi.

I have a question regarding Screen:FieldService_AddEditWorkOrder.

Note: I am checking the grid's edit wizard for this screen.

On this screen, the grid shows that it is using the "Default" filter-view with no custom filters available, but it appears to be listing only items from Table:ActivityJobItems that have the same Field:ActivityNo value as the Field:ActivityNo on screen.

Is it possible to do this off of the Default filter-view or is there a glitch in the display of which filter is in place?

-------------------------

I also just noticed that the Notes field i added to the activity table and drug onto this screen is not saving its data when i leave this screen and come back to it. All other fields restore their values when returning to the same active record except the one i added.

Thank you,

~Joe
