OK I will try with a different email address. I have a gmail address, and I tried specifying the server as gmail com, but that did not work (got a timeout error). Do you know what server to specify with a gmail address?

Hey Eric,

I have tested this out and found it to be working, I was wondering what ISP you are using? Some ISP's require you to setup a username with the full domain.

Example : r.bell

Example : r.bell@methodintegration.com

Try that, or better yet contact your ISP to find out what the requirements are. Other users are not having a problem and this leads me to think that it’s something on the ISP side. Try using another email service just to test it, if it works then you know it’s that provider.

Trying to send an email from Method

I am trying to create an activity that sends an email from method. I have filled out the server name, username, and password in My Account. I have doublechecked that data and am sure it is correct.

I then created an activity, clicked on the email tab, and entered my own email address in both the to and from fields. I created a test email, clicked on the "Send Email" checkbox, and then clicked on "Save, Complete and Close." However, I have not received the email. I have done this a couple times, including waiting a couple days, and have not seen anything. I have turned off my spam filtering, that did not help.

Please help me figure out how to send an email out!
