You can't merge customers in Method, merging would have to be done within QuickBooks. You can then set certain redundant customers as inactive either in Method or in QuickBooks,. If you haven't synced your data to Method yet then the most efficient way would be to make them inactive in QuickBooks. Regardless, these changes will take place in real-time between Method and QuickBooks.

The part about Outlook I get entirely now. The issue that I really want to figure out is how to clear out redundant contacts/merge contacts from Quickbooks using Method in the most efficient manner, and then also is it possible to then update Quickbooks as well so that the redundant contacts merge there or are deactivated?

Hi Matt,

Welcome to the Community Forums! Not sure exactly what you mean but it sounds like you're under the impression that Outlook contacts are synced with Method. If that's the case then there's no need to worry as Method only syncs with QuickBooks. Our Outlook Plug-in can sync Appointments/Activities with Method and you can add new customers to Method via an email received from that person. Let me know if I'm not understanding what you're asking and provide as much details as possible.

My question is how to make this process of syncing and transferring contacts as simple and efficient as possible. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
