You'd just have to use the Report Designer to create the invoice/estimate template without the fields you don't want to show. The Report Designer creates a PDF of the estimate or invoice info you want to send to a client. If you've created a screen with custom fields, these won't show on our stock Report Designer templates unless you added them. The client also won't see anything on a Method screen.

Does that make a little more sense?

Re: How to: Have required field not appear on printed invoice/estimate

XtekTrev,

What do you mean by customer facing documentation? Do you mean the printed Invoice and Estimates? For that you can use the Report Designer to create a custom Invoice/Estimate templtea. You can make a copy of the stock one and add/remove the fields you want on the invoice/estimate. We have webinars to help you with the Report Designer. They can be found here (toward the bottom of the page): Report Designer

If you want to hide the field on the screen you can do that as well. When editing the screen, edit the field you want to hide, select Advanced Options, and check the Hidden checkbox.

If I'm totally off base here, let me know.

- Adam

How to: Have required field not appear on printed invoice/estimate

I am configuring our Estimate/Invoice screens and would like to have required entries not appear on printed customer facing estimate/invoice (Company Purchase Order/Cost/Deal Registration ID). I am stuck here on how to have these fields not appear on customer facing documentation.

Has anyone addressed this requirement in their own configuration and provide a shove in the right direction?
