&lt;p&gt;The proper way to invoice a sales order would be to create the invoice from the Sales Order screen. &amp;nbsp;The stock invoice screen lists all of the invoices created and allows you to create or edit new ones. &amp;nbsp;You can go to the Customers and Contacts link and under transactions view the transactions for the customer. &amp;nbsp;Something like you&amp;#39;re describing can be done th&lt;span id="mce_2_start" style="overflow:hidden;"&gt;rough customization.
