Take a look at my example for the Send Email option. You'll notice when you click the Email To: dropdown list you're presented with 6 different choices. Here's a rundown of those choices.

Type In - This one is pretty self explanitory; just type in what you want and this will be "hardcoded" to this specific action.
Action Result - You can assign values to temporary holders called Action Results, name them accordingly. Select from a list of Action Results that exist on this screen.
Value From Screen - Select a value from a specific field/object on the screen.
Value From Session - Method session information which is specific to the currently logged in user.
Value From Row - This will use values from the specific table which the screen is based off of.
Value From Calendar - Values from the Calendar on the screen.

Thank you, Ashur. I know of the Send Email action, I just want to fully understand how to use it. Right now I would like to be able to email a specific user, not just type in an email address. I just want to understand all the syntax of the myriad of choices when picking what each email field does and from where it pulls data.

Hi theavspecialist,

We don't have any documents detailing different ways of sending emails from Method, however you can utilize the Send Email action. In order to type in HTML you would need to enable the Show in HTML editor option for the textbox field/object you'll be using. If you want to send the recipient contact details you can utilize merge fields. Check out the Automatically Merged Fields section of our List Builder Help Center article.

What screen are you referring to in your second post and what object/field are the actions executed in? Take a look at the Send Email action, this is what you're looking for.

And just to clarify, I don't mean that small little section under Customization-ActionReferences-Advanced. I want to see what all the different options are. For example, for a send to: you can choose "Value from Session". I don't see a choice to email a specific user or even better a resource. A resource, I assume, can be then changed to contact a specific person. Otherwise, if you put a person in here and they leave, you have to find every spot in the CRM where that person was entered. That could be exhausting. Even without that option I see "User - email address". From what I can tell that just emails the person who is entering the info. There is "Shared users - list by user ID". That sounded promising to be able to pick someone other than the person entering data, but I don't see the option to choose an additional value such as the person or resource you want to send to.

Is there a specifice document for understanding the choices to send emails from the system and the valid formats I can enter? For example, I see you can do some html type formatting for field labels to add the red asterisk, for example. In the body of the email I want to be able to send the recipient the contact details or at least a link back to the CRM to see them. I will probably be adding an associated task to call or schedule them, too.
