&lt;p&gt;From my understanding, the Outlook.com servers don&amp;#39;t support Open Relay messaging, which is how Method sends emails on your behalf. Check out &lt;span id="mce_2_start" style="overflow:hidden;"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;t&lt;span id="mce_2_end" style="overflow:hidden;"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;his &lt;span id="mce_3_start" style="overflow:hidden;"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;a href="http://www.methodintegration.com/method/kb.aspx?folder=MethodCRM&amp;amp;article=Why-are-emails-from-Method-not-being-sent%3f&amp;amp;id=243"&gt;Help Centre article&lt;span id="mce_3_end" style="overflow:hidden;"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/a&gt; for more info about Open Relay messaging. You can perform a quick search online, or call Outlook.com support, to confirm whether or not they in fact support it. Hope this helps!&lt;/p&gt;

The original notification repeatedly times out, but the failure notice works. Both messages are using the default e-mail address configured in Method, both are sent with the same From address (&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span id="mce_8_start" style="overflow:hidden;"&gt;&lt;span id="mce_0_start" style="overflow:hidden;"&gt;support@ourcompany.com) and the same To address (&lt;span id="mce_0_start" style="overflow:hidden;"&gt;support@ourcompany.com&lt;/span&gt;).
