Hey Val,

In my grid, where grid:Fied1 is a dropdown, adding the Action:'Enter Value Into Field On Screen' to the Event:Select for grid:Field1 worked perfectly.

The selection made in grid:Field1 correctly moved Screen:MyField into grid:Field5.

Joe,

In the example I provided using the action Enter Value Into Field On Screen should let you to select another field from the grid to enter the value to. The field or object you want to update should have the format GridName:FieldName in the action properties. This will enter the value into the specified field for the current row.

How do I get the value to go into the correct row of the grid?

So far, no values are appearing in the grid for me.

Hi Joe,

What’s the value you are using for the 5th field? What you could try is having an action on one of the displayed fields triggered by text change that will enter a value into the 5th and hidden field.

Hi.

Situation: User is enterring a new line into a grid and has filled out 4 visible fields, with one non-visible field remaining that must be filled.

Grid: Allows Adding | Disallows Editing.

How to: I need to automatically fill the hidden (5th) field after the user clicks "Update" but before the entry is pushed to the table. The hidden field is required, and thus needs to be filled during this "intermediate" time period.
