&lt;p&gt;I just wanted to add this alternative for you try and let me know if this work around helps. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;First, you&amp;#39;ll need to install the outlook add-on if you haven&amp;#39;t done so already.&amp;nbsp; You can use the following link to install and learn more about the add-on: &lt;a href="http://www.methodintegration.com/cs/blogs/methodblog/archive/2009/06/01/enhance-your-crm-experience-using-outlook.aspx"&gt;http://www.methodintegration.com/cs/blogs/methodblog/archive/2009/06/01/enhance-your-crm-experience-using-outlook.aspx&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Once you receive/send an e-mail in Outlook, select that e-mail and then click on the &amp;#39;Add to Method&amp;#39; from the outlook toolbar. The Add Activity to Method screen will then pop up.&amp;nbsp; Here you can search for &amp;#39;Case&amp;#39; by customer and you have the option to create a new case from here to link the e-mail to or you can link it to an existing case. &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;You can send mails directly from Method but currently there is no way to directly receive e-mails in Method. There is the Outlook add-on that allows you to send e-mail to Method, however, this wouldn&amp;#39;t help us achieve what you are looking for.&amp;nbsp; To enable Method to create a new case when an e-mail is received would mean that Method would have to receive e-mails directly. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;If you wanted to create cases when e-mails are sent from Method, then most likely that would be possible via customization. &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Is it possible to create a new case in Method based on a incoming email.&amp;nbsp; ie.&amp;nbsp; Server goes down, and the system auto sends an email, which in turn creates a case based on the customer number/name and the details of the problem?&lt;/p&gt;</description></item></channel></rss>
