So, there's a few things you can do to restrict your access to that tab.

The most basic option you have to prevent viewing of that information, you can restrict viewing of that tab by roles. To do this, go to Customize > Tabs, and click "edit" beside the Quickbooks Home tablink. There, beside the "Quickbooks Dashboard" you can edit the "Roles That Can View" which allows you to select which roles can view that particular tab, and see the data.

You can also edit individual user access by going into the "Tab Groups" section and clicking "edit" which will allow you to restrict which users can view which tab group.

Let me know if that helps.

Naeem

Thanks for the quick reply.

Actually, the G/L accounts do show up on Method. In fact, not just the accounts, but the balances in each account, which really is none of the CRM user's business in most cases:

To demonstrate:

1. Log into Method.

2. Top right corner - next to "Recent" click the dropdown (defaults to "CRM")

3. Select "QuickBooks"

4. On display, click the tab [QuickBooks]

Thats the G/L, and it's exposing a lot of very confidential information.

How do I prevent that?

Thanks

Fred

Thanks for joining Method! To address your first question, the G/L accounts are native to Quickbooks and don't show up anywhere on Method.

As for your latter question, unfortunately there isn't any way to stop syncing certain customers to QB unfortunately, because the sync feature is such a critical part of the system. All customers (that aren't lead only) in Method will automatically get sent to sync.

Let me know if that helps,

How do I prevent a Method CRM user from viewing the G/L accounts in QuickBooks? Also, I only want certain customers to be synced from Method into QB, based on specific Method users. How do I do that.
