Just wanted to give you a heads up. Not sure what your plans are for your Sales Order screen, but we have an updated Sales Order screen "in the labs" that we plan on pushing out over the weekend if all goes well. The default Sales Order screen will take advantage of some of the recent base Method upgrades, but most importantly will sport a new feature that lets you convert a sales order into a QuickBooks invoice.

So......before you go and make massive updates to your Sales Order screen, you might want to hold off until Monday if that new feature interests you.

We made a minor update in the code for this particular field. You should now be able to locate the Sales Orders where IsFullyInvoiced is equal to yes.

Try this on your end by doing a sync and the IsFullySynced should get populated. Then try creating or editing a Sales Order in QuickBooks.

Thank you!

Re: Filter by Open Sales Order

Unfortunately I have put in a lot of time experimenting with both of these fields already without any success.

I see that IsManuallyClosed comes from Quickbooks. When one wants an otherwise unfilled - or partially filled - Sales Order to be closed in QuickBooks, one checks this box in QuickBooks and this value does successfully carry over into Method. This, however, is the minority of our transactions - special situations when we have some special reason to do so. The vast majority of transactions remain open until the time that they are fully invoiced.

However, I do not see where IsFullyInvoiced gets data from, nor can I find this field in QuickBooks. If I view any Sales Order in Method which I know has been fully invoiced (where each of the quanities ordered equals each of the quantities invoiced as shown in the SalesOrderLine table), that check box never has a check in it on the Sales Order. In fact, I can not locate a single Sales Order in Method where the IsFullyInvoiced value is equal to Yes.

Does this require some kind of action step that compares each of the ordered items to each of the invoiced items and if they match exactly, the IsFullyInvoiced field gets set to Yes? This seems a bit messy and complicated to me.

Ultimately, all I want is the info that comes from QuickBooks' Open Sales Order report to appear (filtered by the logged in rep). Can someone tell me how to do this? This seems like it should be simple to do, yet I just can't figure it out.

Method is able to pull the correct data using the QuickBooks Reports section, I just don't have any ability to customize and filter by rep there (or do I?)

Re: Filter by Open Sales Order

Hi Alex,

If you look at the SalesOrder table in Method you will find two fields you might be interested in IsFullyInvoiced and IsManuallyClosed. You can use these two fields to help filter the grid.

Hope this helps,

Filter by Open Sales Order

I have created several screens which automatically filter by sales rep depending on who logs in. I have created a screen that lists Sales Orders by rep using the SalesOrder table. How do I filter the Sales Orders to only show those that are open (i.e., similar to an Open Sales Order report in QuickBooks)? I can not find any appropriate field to filter by.
