Hi Garrett,

Greg asked me to take a look at your question. You are correct, unfortunately it is not possible to use images stored in SmartVault in the Report Designer.

When files are uploaded to Method instead of SmartVault, the field containing the file can be used in the report designer to display the attached image (for example the Document field in the DocumentLibrary table). However when a file is stored in SmartVault, the field prints blank in the report designer, which it seems like you are experiencing. The only way to use images stored in Method in the Report Designer is to upload them to Method.

I have created a feature request for this functionality. I don't imagine this would be an easy modification for our development team, but I'll reply in this thread if I recieve any feedback.

Hello Garett,

I need to do some more research myself. I did have some questions. How are the files/pics being retrieved for the report? Is it going to the DocumentLibraryLink table and getting the information that way? It looks like SmartVault is not allowing access to the files for the report or there is something wrong with how the path to the SmartVault files are created.

Looking for a way to show photos in a report - when the files have been uploaded to SmartVault...

I have a screen that allows file uploads. A Submit button generates a report that shows these files/pics. If the photos were uploaded to Method, no problem. However, if the photos are uploaded to SmartVault (as we hope), they don't show in the report.

I am thinking along the lines of searching for the SV link...checking to see if I am on the right track. Or will this even be possible?
