&lt;p&gt;Yes, it looks like you may have answered your own question. I often do this for clients. If you would like something to save in a spreadsheet, add &lt;span id="mce_1_start" style="overflow:hidden;"&gt;a button with an export action&amp;nbsp;&lt;/span&gt;to the screen. If you would like to preview a report in pdf format, email it, print it and or save it to your desktop,;&amp;nbsp;then use the generate report action.&amp;nbsp;&lt;span id="mce_3_start" style="overflow:hidden;"&gt;Howver, after Method generate a report in this format, you cannot sort it or filter it. All sorting and filtering needs to be handeled on the screen or in a spreadsheet after exporting.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
