Or anything else you want to know from the Method Team and other Method users.enCommunityServer 2007.1 SP2 (Build: 31113.47)http://forums.method.me/cs/forums/thread/2403.aspxWed, 21 Apr 2010 19:48:02 GMT3393c1ec-311b-4812-96cb-ad8c611bba4f:2403Anonymous0http://forums.method.me/cs/forums/thread/2403.aspxhttp://forums.method.me/cs/forums/commentrss.aspx?SectionID=13&PostID=2403<p>We&rsquo;re nearly ready to release the next big update of Method. &nbsp;Last time we did a big update, we had several of you saying that you wanted a heads-up first, and even better a chance to try your screens out on the new version first before we rolled them into production, so here&rsquo;s your chance!</p> <p>What we&rsquo;ve done is upgrade just one of our web servers to the new version. &nbsp;For the next day or two we&rsquo;ll continue doing tests on there, while the other servers are still on the old version. &nbsp;If you would like to test out your screens and use the new version, here are your steps:</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <ol> <li>Go to <a target="_blank" href="https://web2.methodintegration.com/method/Login.aspx">https://web2.methodintegration.com/method/Login.aspx</a></li> <li>You may get a certificate warning. &nbsp;This happens because the certificate is registered as www.methodintegration.com, not web2.methodintegation.com.</li> <li>Click <strong>Refresh</strong> when you get to the login form. &nbsp;This should clear out any old version of the login form.</li> <li>Login like normal.</li> <li>Use it like you normally would. &nbsp;Keep in mind this is live data, you are interacting with your real customers and real work orders. You are just using a different version of Method to do it.</li> <li>If you want to switch back to the current site, just simply log into <a target="_blank" href="http://www.methodintegration.com/method/Login.aspx%20">https://www.methodintegration.com/method/Login.aspx</a> (notice it is www instead of web2).</li> </ol> <div> <div>Notes for you:</div> <div><ol> <li>The big difference you&rsquo;ll notice is that the calendars have been upgraded.</li> <li>There is also an Import / Export tool under<strong> Customize &gt; Integration Tools</strong>.</li> <li>Note, that while the platform has Google Maps in now there if you want to venture into creating your own maps using the mapping actions. &nbsp;You won&rsquo;t, however, see any built-in screens with mapping on them yet, as we won&rsquo;t be pushing those screens out until all the web servers have been updated.</li> <li>We are likely updating all servers tomorrow (Thursday) or Monday at the latest. &nbsp;So, this is time sensitive.</li> </ol> <div>Thanks,</div> </div> <div></div> <div>Danny and The Method Team</div> <div></div> </div> <p>&nbsp;</p>
