I am just starting to program this but here is the idea that i have to get reminders out there.

Insert into the access table a field called sent1 and another field called sent2 and make them a yes/no field

Make the programming to do the following. 1. Look for the activities that are two days ahead of the appointment. 2. When method finds those activities and if the sent1 field does not have a check mark then send out those emails if the send1 had a check mark then dont send them. When method sends the reminders have it mark the send1 field. 3. A day before the appointment have method look for activties one day before and if it finds any to check to see if there isa sent2 day marked. if its not marked then send the reminders out, if its not checked then send them out and update the sent2 field to yes. 4. Inserthis this program into a screen load of the screen that first shows up.

What do you think?

I have alot of clients asking for this functionality. Can it be put on the "Wish List" list?

Fran

Re: Send Appointment Reminder to Customer

Hi BLCPA,

It isn't possible to automate this. The Activity table reminders that get sent out to your users are configurable by clicking on Edit Table... for the table under Customize > Tables / Fields, but the coding is done on the back-end. There's no way to replicate it on a screen level.

You could create a second activity 2 days before the appointment to remind yourself to send out an email, and use your template for that, but that's the best I can recommend at this time.

Thanks for the assistance!
