Hi Bigshotpromos,

In your work order list forum post, I told you about how Work orders is a activity type. You just need to add another type called tasks and also be sure to have them set to "Show on calendar". Then what you can do is customize the calendar in step 7 to show both activity types (the steps are very similar to the other forum post).

You will not be able to add a calendar filter that is similar to "Assigned To & Status" because the calendar does not allow you to add a filter like that. You can customize the screen to allow you to do this however. You can add a object like a drop down box that will have your additional filter like by billing state. You can have the calendar filter based on what ever is in that object.

You can also change the default view of the calendar by in step one of the calendar wizard. You won't be able to show more days then what the monthly view shows.

You can adjust how the appointment appears on the calendar by going to step 2 and changing the appointment fields.

Due to the nature of our business, I am trying to find a working solution to combine all Work Orders and Task (Activity) Calendars into one unified calendar. The main purpose of this unified calendar is to be able to gain an overview of all scheduled work orders and tasks at once, and to be able to drag and drop scheduled work orders and tasks on different dates as needed. Switching back and forth between the work order calendar, the activity calendar, and changing filters/views is much more tedious than we need it to be.

The current filters (Assigned To & Status) are perfect. We would like to add an additional calendar filter to filter by Billing State / Prov if possible.

The standard view needs to default to a “monthly” calendar view. However, it would be extremely helpful to have a 2 month view (as opposed to one) as this will make it easier to drag and drop items from one month to the next.

The work orders & tasks simply need to display the Company Name on the calendar because any work order or task will be assigned to a company name.

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.
