Tina,

Just to clarify, what I meant was that the latest version of the SDK Intuit released was finished before QB 2010 came out, so those new custom fields are not available – yet. We are waiting for Intuit to release their next version of the SDK where we expect to see the more recent features of QuickBooks become available via the SDK. In the past, Intuit has released new SDKs in the early fall, so on our side we are hoping this will be the case this year too.

Hi Tina,

Thanks for the additional information. Intuit has actually stopped updating the SDK before QB 2010 came out. As a result Method most likely would not be able to see those additional fields.

Hi amanda,

Thanks for the post. Actually, they are in the customer information. 2010 added these to this version. We use them to hold pricing and other info on the customers. They sit under the tab "additional infomation". only 5 of the defined shop up in the field list in method.

Hello Tina,

Where in QB did you populate those 15 custom fields? For instance did you use in on Invoice, Service Item, Estimate, etc? The reason I'm asking you this, is if you added the custom fields to different transaction areas in QuickBooks then those fields will be in different tables. So when you try to see those fields on one screen you would not be able to; if they are from different tables and the screen is based off of only 1 table.

I'll wait for you to provide me some more information so I can try to replicate on my end. Also let me know the names you use for the custom fields so I can try it out.

Custom Fields in Quick Books

I have populated the 15 custom fields in Quick books and want to place in my method. When I try to insert into a screen only the first few show up, even after a recent sync. Is there a way to get method to read and import the custom fields it is not linking to the field database?
