Michael,

Could you give me some more specifics about your Report? Is it based off of a stock report? What table is it based off of? What are the detail tables? What field specifically are you having an issue with?

I'll see if I can replicate the issue.

I tried all strings including this one. Nothing changes. It changes in other fields but not the Rate field.

Hi Michael,

Try the format string {0:C2}. It's specifically for currency.

Hi Michael,

I am having exactly the same problem as Hannah described above with the Format String. I can't get it to change on the Rate field. I was able to change it on the Total field.

Can you tell me if you found a solution for her ? If so what was it ?

Can you get in contact with me a m.melo@methodintegration.com? I will take a look at this using the standard report template, if the issue is user error and you want us to fix it then we would charge for consulting time but if the issue is with Method itself we will make sure it gets resolved.

Michael,

I took the basic estimate report and started editing off of that format. The summarization is of line item prices, it is a subtotal. The

tables that the original estimate work off of are the Company, Estimate, and EstimateLine, so those are that ones that I am using. It

seems like everything should be set up correctly to begin with since I am just editing a pre-made format.

Have you taken a look at the format strings on the existing reports? What exactly are you trying to summarize?

What table are you working off of for this report?

Hi Michael,

Thank you for your advice, but...

I set the format string to {0:$0.00} a couple of times, and it wouldn't change the four decimal points. I tried to 'ignor null values' also and that didn't change it either.

I also tried the 'ShipAddr2' and it kept inputting the first line of the address, not the second. I tried all the other 'ShipAddr' 3, 4 & 5 and they did the same thing.

Any other ideas?

First, when I add a subtotal field it calculates correctly except for adding four decimal spaces, even if there is no change there will be four zeros

You will need to edit the summary properties and set the format string to {0:$0.00}.

Second, the sales tax percent field does not automatically populate. When I choose a sales tax from the sales tax drop down menu it seems like the percent field should pull that information from quickbooks or somewhere, right?

You should be using ShipAddressAddr2. If you are using the standard Estimate screen ShipAddressAddr2 will display whatever is on the second text box of the Ship To information.

I am customizing an estimate with the report designer and am having some issues.
