A good example of this is the New Estimate button in the Customer List Screen. You should be able to reverse engineer how the Customer List screen goes to the Estimate screen and enters the customer.

Yes, This is possible and standard practice on a number of screens. There a number of ways to acomplish this. One way is to use a shared result to pass the customer name to the estimate screen and when the estimate screen loads you can retrieve the customer's info and place it on the screen.

Hope this helps.

Transfer record between screens

My "flow" when a customer calls in is to create a case in Method for that customers inquiry. I have created a button in the case screen that links to the estimates screen. Is it possible for me to transfer the customer contact data from the case I am viewing to the estimate without having to do a lookup in the estimate screen? It would make the quoting process quicker, which is what the sales people are going to require.

Thanks for the help on this.
