Take a look at this http://code.google.com/apis/chart/docs/making_charts.html. You can use the google chart API to generate a QR code and then use that URL in a report on an image object and you will get a QR code:) The google API generate a chart based on a URL you can use Method's Merge Character function to create your own URLs.

QR codes are big in Japan, and are beginning to pop up here more and more. I currently have a QR code on my website, so that potential customers can scan the code on their screen with their smart phone. Once they do so, my contact info is automatically entered into their phone.

Today I added a button to my customer screen enabling me to print a customer profile label, that I can quickly print and stick on a file folder for my customer notes. Then I had an idea - it would be really cool if I could include a QR code on that label that would link to the customer profile in method. Let's say I have a customer file in front of me and I'm leaving for an appointment.. I could scan their code on my phone and it would load their address so that I could map it, or possibly automatically map itself.

If QR codes can be incorporated into method they would open up so many new ways to automate paperwork.

Of course, Method would have to have the capability to produce the codes, which my or may not be a pipedream. Could this ever be a possibility??
