I am not sure if this function is being considered but I can add it as a suggestion to Method.

Gotcha. Is that a function that's being considered? Looks like the Edit Fields page was created to possibly accomodate that.

Currently you can't change a field from one type to another, you will need to delete it and re-add it or just create a new field if you don't want to lose the data that may already be stored in the old field.

That's what I needed. It is a customized field that I created as an integer. If I want to change it to decimal now, do I go to Tables/Fields> Edit Fields for the Invoice table (which is where the field is located). Am I supposed to be able to edit this field from there? I can see the list of fields including the custom ones we created, but no link to edit. I'm pretty sure I've done a similar edit before, I just can't recall where exactly I'm supposed to make these changes.

Hi Andy-

What is the type of the field? Go to Customize > Tables / Fields and click Edit Fields for the table where the field exists. If the type is an integer then you won't be able to enter any decimals. Looking at integer field text boxes it still lets set the decimal but it cannot be used. I will create a ticket to have this changed to be less confusing.

We have a text box right now where the field only accepts round numbers without decimal places. When editing, in step 4 of 5 Numeric Field Formatting, we have Decimal places: 2. Doesn't seem to work for us. What else do we need to do so that this text box can handle decimal places? Thanks.
