Should have said what QB version we have. We just upgraded to Premier 2012.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Thx for the link. I&amp;#39;ll try installing the updated manually (even though I&amp;#39;m already on 2010) and see if it works.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Will report back with results.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Do you happen to be using QB 2011?&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I&amp;#39;ve come across this once before, read &lt;a target="_blank" title="Link" href="http://support.quickbooks.intuit.com/support/articles/SLN41846"&gt;THIS&lt;/a&gt;.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;It has to do with Instant Start a new feature in QB 2011, you may want to try disabling it or performing the steps listed in the above link.&lt;/p&gt;

Everytime we log into the computer where the Method engine is running, we are unable to open QB (don&amp;#39;t use QB everyday, just 3 days a week). An error occurs saying it&amp;#39;s already running. The process is clearly resident, but the QB GUI is not running. Only way to solve it is to&amp;nbsp;kill it in Win XP Task Manager and re-launch QB for it to work again.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;This is a deal breaker when I&amp;#39;m trying to introduce technology to our accounting department and the technology is the obstacle.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Anyone else see this?&lt;/p&gt;</description></item></channel></rss>
