This issue is coming up because an action is point to a field that no longer exisits on the screen.

For testing purposes I just deleted everything that was on the OnScreenLoad actions under the Advanced setting for a screen.

When I first loaded the screen I noticed it took a second to load the screen before the error came up, this lead me to believe it was an issue with OnScreenLoad.

So I made a copy of the screen and just deleted all the actions found in OnScreenLoad and that error no longer came up.

I suggest going over the actions found in the OnScreenLoad event and make sure they are correct.

Before you scrap the screen. Can you enable MethodSupport so I can take a look?

Email me the screen name and the account name.

I have continued to troubleshoot this problem today. I have bit by bit pulled all of our custom fields out of the Edit Customer sreen so that I have a stripped down version which I believe mimicks the standard Method Edit Customer screen, and I am still getting the error. For this particular scenario, I believe I will abandon the custom screen and start over, but I am still curious how to troubleshoot this error should I happen to come upon it with a client after one of the platform updates.

Thanks!

Re: Screen Out of Sync Error

Hi Danny,

Actually, in looking at this further, I checked two other databases that are using the same custom screen for the "Edit Customer." (This is a copy of the original CRM Edit Customer Screen, with some added fields.) The error is occuring on all three databases. I think it began with the new December platform updates. My 'Select' button works if I set the action to go to the non-edited CRM_EditCustomer tab, but it will no longer take me to my custom tab. Any thoughts on what I should be looking for in my custom screen that would have generated this error with the December updated Method in all three databases? And actually, I should clarify - the Select button DOES take me to my custom screen with the correct customer's information, but it still kicks up that error in a pop-up window, which I have to close...

I noticed in the release notes that there was a temporary login for the November screens, which is no longer available. If I could access that, I could at least verify that this is an issue with the new platform handling my custom screen.

Thanks!

Re: Screen Out of Sync Error

Shelly,

Usually if this message comes up on the screen it will happen when it first loads. You mentioned this happens when you select a customer. Does that mean a pop-up window appears when you click the select link? If so, make sure that you also re-publish the pop-up window that is being called when you click the select link.

Screen Out of Sync Error

I recently completed some screen customizations and now when selecting a customer from my customer list, I get the following:
