You wouldn't need to edit the screen just View the screen, and add new values while viewing the screen.

I successfuly created and added new fields. However, I'd like to add another option to my drop down list. You mentioned that a screen is created where I can do that. I've gone to edit that screen and have clicked to edit the grid but can't seem to see where I can add additional options.

Look at the 4th response from the top, it should have the steps to create a field in a table.

You had mentioned that you created a LeadStage field already, what steps did you take to do that?

So, it sounds like I'm missing a step somewhere. 1st I created a new field--LeadStage. Then I made a copy of the CRM_EditLead screen. What it sounds like you're telling me now is that I need to add my new field to the Customer table, is that correct? Once I've done that it will appear in the toolbox when I edit the CRM_EditLead screen, correct?

How do I add the field to the Customer table?

When you add a new field to a table (In this case the customer table) it should show up in the toolbox under Add Fields for screens based off that table.

I got the new CRM_EditLead screen created and I can see what you mean about dragging and dropping. However, how do I get the new field I created--LeadStage--into the toolbox on the left so that I can drag and drop it onto my screen?

Go to Customize > Screens and look for the CRM_EditLead screen, you will have to make a copy of it before you edit it.

Ok, so I created the new drop-down field (not sure where it is now). How do I customize my leads screen now?

Shaun-

To create a custom drop down for your leads go to Customize > Tables / Fields and click Edit fields... for the Customer table (A lead is just a type of customer) and add a Drop down type field. After adding the drop down field if you customize your leads screen you should be able to drag the new drop down field you created onto the screen.

Also when you create a drop down field from a new table it also creates a screen of the same name so you can easily add new entries to the drop down list.

i'm trying to view the customization webinars.

i need to create a custom field for leads. my understanding is that leadstatus isn't customizable and i need to create something similar that has more options than method's default options.

Some of our old webinars were recorded using the GoToMeeting Codec which does not work with Macs . All new webinars for the last year and a half are all using a format that works across the board. Which webinar are you trying to view?

I'm having trouble viewing the webinars on my mac. I've downloaded the latest components and codecs and can't view in Quicktime or VLC. Any suggestions? Is there another way to access these webinars?
