With Method, you’re already saving time by having all your data in one place and synced with QuickBooks. But we’re always looking at ways to help you become even more efficient in your business.

This is why I’m excited to tell you about the addition of our Import/Export tool in the new version of Method.

What is it?

The Import/Export tool is a Method feature that allows you to add or extract data into and out of your Method account as well as perform mass updates to existing records in Method.

Why should I be psyched about this?

With the Import/Export tool in your arsenal, it’s fast to get up-and-running with your data in Method.

Whether you’re managing your sales leads in spreadsheets or need to transfer your customer contacts and interactions from another CRM, the Import/Export tool allows you to quickly perform mass uploads of your data. Because, really - who has time to enter anything in manually?!

While managing your small business in Method, you’ll also be able to use the Impoprt/Export tool to perfrom updates to your records in bulk.

Let’s say you need to change the sales rep for a group of leads but dread the thought of updating each contact record one at a time.

Kill many birds with one stone by simply exporting the records, performing a bulk update in a spreadsheet, and then import the updated records back into Method. (Please note: no birds are ever harmed in the use of Method’s Import/Export tool.)

Additionally, Method allows you to manage data unique to your small business you’re unable to manage in QuickBooks, such as pet details for a pet grooming business. Instead of managing a spreadsheet or paying for a third party application, import your custom data into Method! Afterall, Method is 100% customizable without requiring code.

How do I get started?

To access the Import/Export tool from within your Method dashboard, your account’s primary administrator will go to Preferences (right side navigation) and then to Tables/ Fields (left sidebar).
