Hey GroGreen,

I do not recommend that you sync a new QuickBooks database to your existing Method account. Even though you can copy the data between QuickBooks databases, Quickbooks will assign unique RecordID's and TransactionsID's to every transaction/record. Method uses these RecordId's and TransactionID's to match up its data to QuickBooks to sync properly. Syncing up the databases will result in data loss and/or data corruption which will result in unexpected results in Method.

What would happen if I created a new Quickbooks account and directed Method to access the new file?

In this case, before doing so, I'd copy all of my Customers, Vendors etc. beforehand. I wouldn't transfer balances or transactions, as these wouldn't be relevant to the 'new company'.

Currently there is no option to copy screens between accounts in Method:New. There is currently a feature request submitted for this but unfortunately there is no ETA for it yet.

I've put some extensive work into some custom apps.

I'm considering incorporating my business, which would mean a new quickbooks file for the new business entity and a new method account.

Is there a way to transfer a custom app or custom screens from one account to another?
