Unfortuantely we dont have a timeline in place right now for when this one will be implemented on our end. But I can say that it has certainly been a requested feature here.

Do you have a timeline for when Invoice creation will be put in place? If it is far off in the future, I will look at the Sales Order App as you suggested and try to figure it out. Thanks for the help.

Hi Kenichiro,

By default, there is currently no way to directly create an Invoice directly from an Estimate. We are working on implementing this functionality to more closely Mirror the QuickBooks Online functionality, so keep a close eye on our release notes for future updates!

If you were looking to build your own solution for this in the meantime, I would recommend you take a look at how Method Handles the Creation of Invoices from Sales Orders (Look specifically at the New/Edit Sales Order, and Create Invoice screens within the Sales Order App)

How does one create an invoice from an estimate then? Is there no way to do that? It seems like something that you should be able to do. Thanks for replying to my forum posts.

Good catch on this one! This is a mistake on the Help centre as this button does not exist currently. We will get this one removed from the Help centre to ensure there is no further confusion.

Create an Invoice from an Estimate

I'm struggling to figure out how to create an invoice from an estimate. According to the help section it should be as simple as clicking on the "Create Invoice" button. Unfortunately I don't see the button. We're using Quickbooks Online and the estimate that I'm trying to create an invoice from is Active. Am I missing something? Do I need to upgrade the app or something?
