Hi Adam, Thank you so much for your help. I'm using the character function to create the link. I start with [ <a href=http://maps.google.com/maps?q=" ] then append the address and the rest of the link. When I send an email containing the result of this character merge, it shows up as text. Hi Issam, What about the hyperlink didn't work?  The link itself or the URL?  If its the URL, try using the short URL option in Google Maps. Hello Stuart,     I would not recommend changing the DataExtDef table.  I don't know what it is for, but it may be there for processes unseen and you could, in essence, break your table and incur problems.  - Greg
