Allo! And welcome to this week’s Method blog. My name is Errol, and had this blog post come out on Friday, it would have been October 11th! And that would have meant that I had been with Method for 8 months! So close!
However, it’s only the 10th, so it’s been 8 months minus one day! HUZZAH! I hope Lynda buys me lunch. Not ...

Hey Suzanne,
In order to open you email links by default in gmail you do not need to do anything in Method.
However, that being said, you will have to change some settings on your PC or browser to make this happen.
Here is a guide from google which will provide you with each of the steps you need to do to make this work:
Making ...

Hey Garrett,
You're definitely not missing anything.
The reason why you're experiencing this issue is related to the way Show / Hide Tab Links action works. In order for the action to "happen" the tab must first be loaded on the users screen.
When you first log into Method, you only load the tab ...

Hi,
If you click on an email link from within Method, Outlook automatically opens up for everyone in our office. No surprise since we have always used Outlook. We have recently migrated to Gmail and want to keep Outlook on our PCs for a little while but want Gmail to open up as the default from a link. Any way to make Gmail the ...

Thanks for the info Nelson.
One challenge I am having is hiding tab links on tabs other than the current/default tab. I can hide the default screen for the default tab. However, eventhough I add actions to hide tab links under other tabs, these actions are not working - the tab links are still visable when I click the other ...

In your customization, you will have to add additional logic that will place your desired document into an action result. See below where you ...

Hi - It doesn't appear the document library is available to attach to activities unless I'm missing something. I also don't see the field "attachment location" in the "send email" action. Atleast it's not available on the version of Method I'm using. Please advise.

It is a field in Contacts table I've added. I'm aware that it is blank at start, but I've also run action set to populate it with CompanyName+RecordID. CompanyName is not unique column, I had to add it RecordID in order to relate Contacts with Counties. All the entries in CompanyWithID after running a ...

Hi Garrett,
The most efficient way to go about restricting user access to the CRM afterhours is by building some logic into your screen's onLoad event.
Before I go ahead and describe the workflow to you, I would recommend you organize your CRM users using tab groups (this will reduce the amount of work you will have to do later).
Once a ...

Hi Nebo,
Where does the CompanyWithID field come from? Is it its own table or just a field in the Contacts table?
If you are adding a new field to the Contacts table, you won't be able to make it unique. This is becuase there are already records in the table and therefore by adding a new field, all values in that field will be ...
