Hi Brett,
When edting a drop down when you get to Step 2 of 5: Dropdown Object Actions you will see an Event drop down, select Add New from that drop down. Adding actions under the Add New event will make <Add New> display at the top of a drop down list.

Currently there is no way to adjust column widths on a screen. You could however edit the size of the section itself by editing the section.

Did you go through the inactive vendors as well? Did you go though them in Method?
In cases like this what I have previously done is exported the list of vendor to excel and used one of excels built in features to highlight duplicates.

Which estimate template are you using? Have you made any changes to it already or was this occuring before any changes were made?
