• Re: Nested conditional statements

Hi Mike, This logic looks perfect to me. I don't believe there is a more efficient way to do this in the current version of Method. I can't confirm, but there might be 'else' capabilities in the next version of Method. Keep an eye out for that. Jason

  • Re: Field Service

Hi Steve, I believe this could theortically be possible, however I would have to do some further testing to confirm this. It would also likely require some heavy modification to that screen. May I ask, why do you want to remove the date completely? I undestand that when a job is being done in-house, you probably have a ...

  • Re: eCommerce Integration

Hi Parker The short answer is yes so long as the service provides an access point (API, Connection String, Etc). What's needed is a custom integration bridge. This can be accomplished with a simple windows program or web application. In this scenario the orders would go from Magento > Method > QuickBooks and ...

  • eCommerce Integration

We are considering using Magento Community for our next ecommerce platform due to the fact there is a tool called Webgility that synchs with Quickbooks (which would obviously then synch with Method.) Upon deeper review, Webgility has numerous complaints and we have not found an alternative reliable eCom/QB integration tool. So my question ...

  • Re: Retrieving value from table

Karen, You can use both an Advanced Script and a Regular Script inside your Retrieve Value from Table action. It's a little confusing how to do so. Here are the steps how: Click the Use Regular Script option Click And Where to set up a second Where clause Choose Use Advanced Script Now you can ...

  • Re: Nested conditional statements

Let's say you have a student in karate and you're progressing through the belts, and you need to pass each level before going onto the next. The default is "No belt" and the belt options progress from "Yellow" to "Orange" to "Blue" For a button that does these actions while looping through a ...

  • Re: Nested conditional statements

Hi Mike, In this scenario, you probably need to use several conditional statements. This is one way to structure it: Start Conditional Statement 1 Do Something 1 Start Conditional Statement 2 Do Something 2 End Conditional Statement 2 Start Conditional Statement 3 Do Something 3 Start Conditional Statement 2 Do ...

  • Field Service

We want to use the field service app for work orders that are in house, remote, and onsite. We need to find a way to disable the required date fields for when it's in house and we process those on a first come first service basis. I've tried customizing but no luck. It wants a date there and it wants to put it in the ...

  • Custom Method field partially syncing in Quickbooks

I have a field in the Customer table in Method called "StaffAccountStatus". This is shown in QB in the Addidional Info tab of the Edit Job screen. The issue I'm experiencing is that this field populates only for certain staff accounts, and not for others. In some cases, there is a value for a particular staff account in ...

  • Re: Retrieving value from table

Karen, Filtering between user inputted dates is a little bit trickier, but doable. You'll need to assign your user inputted dates to action results, and then use a combination of Date Function and Character Function actions in order to insert the date values (in the correct format) into the final script which will be used in ...
