Just to elaborate, there is a Email confirmation when saving? option on the Add/Edit Contacts screen. If this is enabled and you click Save & Email after making changes, both yourself and the contact will receive a notification (assuming there's a valid email address assosciated with the Method contact).

I am the admin. I have customized the email templats to my liking (for the most part haha) Now how do I as a user further customize any specific email template so that it sends from my personal address, without changing the master template?

Hey DavidD,
The email is only sent to the contact who updated the profile as well as the Portal administrator (you). By default emails are not sent out when Contact information is updated within the CRM, this only happens in the portal. Hope this helps!

I set up a dummy customer account to access the contact portal. When i updated contact information inside this portal, an email was autogenerated alerting me of the changes. 2 questions:

Hey DavidD,
Your contacts just need to have unique email addresses in Method, they're not required to be in QuickBooks since Method supports multiple contacts per customer. They can manually register by accessing your portal. Hope this helps!

Does the contacts email have to be in quickbooks in order to register and access the portal? I have certain customers in Method CRM that have 4 or 5 contacts, which arent in Quickbooks, so will they be able to access this portal on their own without any additional setup steps on my end?

How do you wish to sort them? You could add a field to the customer table to store a sort number, then customize your screens accordingly to show this field. How do you plan to populate the field?
