This can be done by clicking the Add Contact link on the Gmail Gadget then searching for an Existing Customer. Simply complete the Contact information in the form below then click Save. Hope this helps!

When I receive an email from a new contact at an established customer or vendor, is there a way to add just the new contact information to the established customer without add it as a new customer as well?

I believe the reason you can't find the "IsActive" field is because that field is not a field in the Activity Table. The reason you can filter it in the Activity Type dropdown is because it is a field in the ActivityType table. After looking around, I discovererd that the grid in the Activities List screen had a filter that said "ActivityTypeIsAppSpecific" = "No", and the activities in question had "True" values and thus did not show up.
