I'm just gonna post the results of our offline discussion. The problem is this case is that you have a multitenant account, and you were not passing the tenantid in.

we are using QuickBooks 2012 and 2013, UK versions.
We have a number of managed accounts that would require the update. I will get them across.

sSelectWhere = "ActivityType like 'OB%' and NOT(AnalyzorName is Null) and NOT(AnalyzorName = '') and (DueDateStart >= STARTDATE OR ActualCompletedDate >= STARTDATE)"
Since STARTDATE is not a field in your table ...

Hi Jon,
When you create a customer/company/lead in Method there is always a main contact associated with it (it's a required field). I'm not sure how you can have a company in Method with no main contact assigned to it. Can you expand a little bit on how you did this?
