I have been able to filter the items available to a specific user by using the Filter option in Advanced Properties of the Grid Wizard for "SalesOrderLine".  The filter I applied was for any Inventory item linked to the Asset Account containing a certain word.  That works well.   But I would also like that user ...

I found my mistake:  2nd column was FullName instead of ItemType.  That is what was causing the problem. Thanks for the help !
