Yup you're getting it now! Just to be streamlined I would say type the Yes/No words with a capitalized first letter. Yes you can add a separate Yes/No field for each division to your Customer table. Just remember that you will then need to create copies of your Customer/Lead screens in order to be able to use your new custom fields.
