Hi Blake,
No there aren't any actions that clear the manual filter criteria on a grid, you'll have to click little orange button you're referring to on the top right corner of the grid.

if there is any filter criteria in a grid, can I clear it out from a button using an action...rather than clicking the little orange 'clear criteria' button in the top right of a grid

Hi Fast Eddie,
When you create items you can dictate whether they are taxable or non-taxable items. If you have items that are not set to non-taxable but need them to be set to taxable you can modify the items, is this is what you're looking to do?

Hi Dave,
If you go to the Customer tab and select the Customer from the list, you will be taken to the Edit Customer screen. That screen has a Contacts tab, which will display all of the contacts related to that customer. There is also a button "Add Contacts", where you can add additional contacts to the customer.
