I eneded up fixing this.  Not sure how or why but a setting in my google gadget had changed.  I went in and changed and all is well.

Hi joshtodd, The AutoGrow feature would normally take care of this for a read-only grid, however, since this is a grid that needs to be editable in order to add items to it, this won't work. - Ashur
