Adam,
Just to add some information, this is the default portal which apparently pulls from the Contacts table.
I just read a thread talking about the "older" Customer Portal vs. new Contacts Portal. Not sure if that matters with what you were imagining and how everything should be setup.
I've really only been working ...

Sorry Jeff. My apologies for the link. I've copied the text below:
To understand your questions I’m picturing a situation where we have Method as the main customer and jobs set up for each of the locations (Chicago, NewYork, LA and etc). So when Method logs in via the portal they should also see the jobs.
This can be ...

Essentially what you have to do is first create a drop down in a customized screen based on the "Estimate" screen, that pulls values from the ReportMethod (list of reports) table with a filter that only shows those values with the word "estimate" in it.
Lastly you would create a ...

That link to the old forum thread doesn't work for me. What is the title (search) for that thread?
Also, how does someone from the customer portal log into the "job" instead of the parent? Isn't the login linked to Quickbooks via email address? The Parent and Job have the same email address, but I'm not seeing an ...

Hi joshtodd,
The AutoGrow feature would normally take care of this for a read-only grid, however, since this is a grid that needs to be editable in order to add items to it, this won't work.

This email came in from Jeff:
In Quickbooks you can setup jobs under each customer. Are these supposed to show up in the Customer Portal? Maybe I have something configured wrong?
I added a job and invoice to our test customer and it does not appear to show up. All of our customers have at least one job, sometimes more so this will ...

In my invoice, work order, and estimate screens, I would like to be able to read the entire description by default. Currently you have to double-click the line below the description, or click and drag to resize the description for each line. This can be very annoying.
Here is what it looks like by default right now:
And I would like it to look ...

Hi JoAnne,
First off welcome to the forums.
There is no screen called "Action". You will need to set this up on the screen you wish to send the email.

No, I just want the parent and all job types to have the same sales rep for each customer. I never want them to be different, and I know QuickBooks doesn't support that anyway.
But I find I'm able to change some, but not others, and I end up with customers that have one sales rep for the parent and staff subaccount, and another sales rep ...

Hi Mike,
I'd like to investigate this further but what is your end goal here? Do you want to be able to have different Sales Reps assigned to the Parent Customer and Jobs? If so, this is potentially going to cause issues as this isn't something that can be done in QuickBooks. It can be done in Method but again may cause some ...
