I see the wisdom in your suggestion; however, I tried various configurations and everything I tried resulted in that same error, so I went back to my original setup for the time being.
If you get more info on that error and why we're getting it, perhaps that will help.

QBO> Products list> Inventory Item> there is a field call Price/Rate and this gets connected to the cost field in Method.
QBO also has a field, ifyou make the item inventory, called Cost. This cost field is not connected to any Method field.

My mistake, I misunderstood what you were looking for. In this case you would need to ensure that you have signed a Consulting Agreement with Method. You can speak with your Account Manager to confirm whether or not you have one or if you need one sent to you.
