Are you making sure to Save your changes? There may also be some other validation rule you have setup, i.e. if Due Date is blank then stop processing more actions. UPDATE: This happens for the Customer Message (dropdown) and Due Date fields (datetime dropdown field) as well. It's not just simple text boxes. It's anything on the screen. Once a field is saved with a value, it will only update to other non-empty values. An empty value isn't honored.
