I have tested this on my system and I do indeed have a discount calculated based on the subtotal line.

It does now...
Even though the subtotal line has the total in the rate column, it works as it should when a discount line is applied.

I was causing my own problem. The users of the system wanted to insert line in the middle of the list, as QuickBooks allows. The EstimateLine Grid on the Estimates screen currently behaves as do all grids when requesting to add lines (rows). The lines must be added to the end of the list. The order of the lines, as they are added, is reflected in QuickBooks by the same order.

I answered you in the other thread but we do apply a discount on the line item above - I'm not sure which screen you were testing but I believe they should all function this way. Please let me know which screen you ran into a problem with and I can review.
