• Re: Customer & billing address does not automatically populate
I tried various scenarios but nothing worked.
Have a look at my screenshot here to see how I've done this: These are my actions on the job of customer dropdown and I'll explain each action below. You'll need to do the customization on your own but this should help you get there. For ...

Chad, I was causing my own problem. The users of the system wanted to insert line in the middle of the list, as QuickBooks allows. Since Method only allows adding lines to the end of the list, I tried adding a sort column to the grid (n both the Estimate and Sales Order screens). This works well enough for ordering the line ...

  • Add New Line Item to EstimateLine grid

The EstimateLine Grid on the Estimates screen currently behaves as do all grids when requesting to add lines (rows). The lines must be added to the end of the list. The order of the lines, as they are added, is reflected in QuickBooks by the same order. In QuickBooks, one can insert a line anywhere in the list; adding lines is not ...

Hi Viret56, I answered you in the other thread but we do apply a discount on the line item above - I'm not sure which screen you were testing but I believe they should all function this way. Please let me know which screen you ran into a problem with and I can review. ~C
In Method, the % discount is calculated based on the total of all the line items.
Hi viret56, Which screen are you looking at? I just tested my invoice screen and I can apply a discount per line item - see my screenshot below: Method is not calculating that discount based on the total ...

John, I'd advise waiting on QB 2013 because there are many things that aren't quite right about the big redesign. The messages you're getting from Intuit are sales pitches, nothing more. Watch the free "New Features of QuickBooks 2013" webinar at https://www2.gotomeeting.com/register/399196954 and ...

In the discussion above, the Discount line item was mentioned. In my use of this line item, I find it does not function in Method as it does in QuickBooks, when used as a % discount. In QuickBooks, the Disount line item calculates the % discount based on the line above it. In Method, the % discount is calculated based on the total of ...

It has been several years and I have run into the same problem. TIn QuickBooks, the Disount line item calculates the % discount based on the line above it. In Method, the % discount is calculated based on the total of all the line items. I cannot think of a way to work around this so that the Discount line item is consistent between ...
Can i do that now or hold off?
You can do it now but just beware that new features available in 2013 will not work with Method just yet. I know 2013 added the ability to have multiple contacts on a customer so if you're using that feature you won't be able to sync that type of data to Method. ...
