FYI to those watching this thread.
The October 2012 version will have a "Get node value from XML", under the Character Function action, that will allow you an easy way to parse values from known XML nodes.

I had used the Contacts popup as well as others, with the same results. After further testing I have isolated the problem.
If the destination tablink is on the same tab as the originating screen, it works. But, if they're on different tabs, it doesn't.

I'm using the "Go To Tab Link" action with a "specified Active Record ID" and with the "Close any Popup Windows open on linked screen" box checked in order to go to the Customer>>Edit Customer screen and set it to the specified RecordID.
That works just fine, the problem is if there is a popup ...

To debug your actions a little here you might want to put a few textboxes on the screen and enter the Action Results for the fields you're trying to match. It can be helpful to see the Action Results before ...

Chrome or FireFox are both superior browsers to use with Method. I personally like Chrome for the speed.
Regarding the error on this thread, it was related to some customization on the charts for their home dashboard. I've seen a similar error and it was after editing a table then not clicking finished editing fields. ...

It appears to me to be an IE9 issue. It doesn't happen that often on FireFox, and since I've switched to Chrome (what appears to me to be the best browser in general) I've never seen it happen.
