The reason why this error was occuring with the job #'s changing, is the main computer that is used for the real time syncing was off and quickbooks was not running. We set it up so that it is running at all times but the important question is if this main sync computer is turned off for some reason and Method cannot access the job numbers ...

Chad, thank you so much for the details.
I am still confuse about "Replace links to an existing screen", like said, if this new invoice screen is created for sales person only ( they can only read invoice, cannot edit and print save,,) so I need to choose it right , that's mean any new invoice come in or change , they will see ...

Rolf - my apologies on my delayed response. I've now brought this to the attention of our team who should be able to get back to me on if this is something we can and will do. I'll post here as soon as I know more.
Another thing I noticed is that even when I correct the job numbers that do not correspond to the custom field in Quickbooks they eventually change to other job #'s in Method after the screen reloads a few times
I suspect this is realted to my other reply - we tried a few ways to get this done for you ...
Any reason why this may be happening?
Since you have this field already added in the customer table all you need to do is drag the job number ...

I can verify that building simple non-mobile screens will work. I've done this for iPad and iPhone.
The trick is to limit data to 1 section per screen with multiple sections spread across tab links.
Where formated data is needed we simply use a custom report.

hi karen,
on step 3 which one do I need to choose ?
On step 3, when copying a screen, the options presented mean:
Do not add a Tab link: This will not add your copied screen to any tab. Your screen will only be accessible through the Customize > Screens section or if you call the screen as a ...

I understand.
Before you start coding, two things I should mention:
(1) I have a ticket in. So you might want to wait until I at least get an answer back on viability. We're not holding out on mobile screens in portals to make a quick buck off your contractors...it's just a design/resource/priority thing for us. So I can at least hear ...

Paul - Thanks for the outline of how that works.
I'm a little disappointed that what I'm trying to do isn't supported. It doesn't seem very "out of the ordinary".
The problem with just letting users login is that the majority of my technicians are contractors who might use the platform only a couple of times per ...
