In step 8 of setting up a user, you can grant/allow access to tables for the user. Then they can only see the data in the allowed tables

That is correct, whatever tables you allow in step 8 of setting up a user are the tables they can interact with via the API.

Hello, I have a customer whom has a very extensive email action. I have no doubt we can recreate this, but my question is can’t we just call the custom action from the MethodAPI?

If a user's settings allow access to API calls but is set for limited access to certain tables, using an api call with this user's credentials, will the table limitations be enforced?

Before we direct you to using the portals, I have to ask if these users will be doing anything else other than creating leads and viewing them once in a while? Method CRM does sync with the QB item list. Not only do the items sync but as they are used on transactions such as when you sell on an invoice this will make the appropriate changes to areas like quantity on hand and others in QB as well.
